4/25/15 Fights, Makeups, and Cold Feet

A lot has happened in the Lanier Family since I last wrote.

Serenity is still hard at work in the doctor profession she is now level four. Don is still a mascot, and he got called in to shoot the final goal in a game. He ended up scoring and winning! He still wants to quit the job due to his noncommittal trait, but I refuse to let him because it is good money.

Serenity also just gave birth to another baby boy named Myles. Giancarlo was so excited to have a baby sibling to play with! Giancarlo is still getting along with Toby (Aleksey's Alien son). Both are doing well in school and both do the extra credit when able.

They are probably one of my couples who have had the longest engagement. The engagement icon was actually gone, and Kelli finally put it as a wish to marry Aleksey. This was before all the drama hit.

Kelli's sister came over to visit one day, but Kelli was asleep. Don let her in, but then the rest of his family went to sleep. Aleksey found her there when he got home and he sat by her on the couch and one thing lead to another and next thing you know they are romantic interests! Of course eventually Kelli found out in the morning that her sister and her fiance were flirting with each other. This did not go over well, but Kelli angrily kissed Aleksey and all was made up for the time being.

Fast forward to a little while later and Aleksey and Kelli's sister were flirting  yet again. This time Kelli had it, and she stormed out of the house to the bar. At the bar she drank a rather expensive drink, and confidently asked another guy on a date, who said yes.

She then proceeded to bring the date back to the house, and make Aleksey jealous, even though the date was not getting along with Kelli at all. This time Aleksey was very angry, and being hot-headed Aleksey went off. First he took it out on Don, actually fighting him though he lost. Kelli, no longer mad at Aleksey wanted to get eloped, but then due to his anger Aleksey stopped the wedding mid-ceremony and called it all off.

Talk about a crazy eventful day!! Craziness. I have no idea what is next, but it is bound to be exciting!

4/9/2015 Babies, Llama costumes, and Aliens.

I do not even know where to begin with everything that has happened in my game lately.   For starters Serenity and Don had a child named Giancarlo. Serenity was the happiest I have ever seen a sim in my life. Serenity and Giancarlo were the best of friends quite quickly. Don is a wonderful father as well.

I like how in the Sims 4 the personality details are so perfect. Serenity, being a family oriented will become extremely sad after being away from her family for a while. Once at work she was crying while analyzing a sample of a patient because she missed her family so much. If that is not true love I do not know what is. Serenity has also had a wardrobe change which reflects a more professional her.

As far as Don and Serenity go they are doing surprisingly well. Serenity even changed her last name to his. With Don’s noncommittal trait I thought he would not cope well with married life, but the first thing that happens when Serenity gets home for work, before Don leaves is they kiss and hug each other. They are always ecstatic to see each other, and it never changes. The only problem is that almost always after woohooing one of them is extremely pleased and the other is dissatisfied. It is kind of weird that it happens every time, unlike with my other sims where it just happened once or twice. Despite this, obviously things are going well enough because they had Giancarlo and another one is on the way!

Another is on the way!

Giancarlos birth was interesting because I had Serenity go to the hospital and I was allowed to go with her. There they put her in this tube like contraption in which the doctor uses robot arms to take the baby out. During it the doctor “accidentally” took out her heart, so she died for a little bit until he put it back. Overall it was an interesting experience.

Even though it is not showing with his relationship, Don’s noncommittal trait is coming out full force regarding his job. I suppose I would want to switch too if I was being made to wear a llama mascot outfit, but the pay is pretty darn good. He shows up very tense after work and rants about how he wants to switch his job. Maybe one of these days I will actually let him switch it, but for now he will have to deal.

Aleksey The Insane Roommate

A few new additions (both sims and remodeling) to the household have occurred in the past few days.  Somewhere, somehow Serenity met a guy named Aleksey. Despite knowing that he was insane, the two of them became good friends and Serenity invited him to move in with them. Not only is Aleksey insane, he also has anger issues that conveniently never come out around Serenity. Don and Aleksey have gotten into it a few times and both highly dislike each other.

Typically crazy person Aleksey went to greet some new neighbors, one of which was an alien named Kaci. Aleksey and Kaci fell in love in a matter of minutes, possibly because of some alien thing, or because they both are insane, either way it was quite fast. They tried for a baby and Aleksey returned back home.

After a day or so some odd glowing was coming from Aleksey’s stomach. This is when I remembered that in sims 4 guys can become pregnant through aliens. I had thought it was only if they got abducted, but apparently that is not the case. Aleksey eventually did give birth to a baby boy. A day later Kaci called to inform him that she had twins, so Aleksey has 3 alien children. Talk about an eventful week!

This is not the end of Aleksey who fell in love with another neighbor, who he asked to move in. The two of them are now engaged! She is very good with Aleksey’s son, and even Giancarlo. The only one she does not get along with is of course, Don.

The house

The house has gone through a few remodels with the growing amount of inhabitants.  First a nursery/kids room for Giancarlo was built to separate the babies from everyone else. Aleksey slept on the other side of the divider between the dining room and the living room at this time.

The second remodel I added a basement with one room for Aleksey, his son and his fiance to have as their own place to stay. I also added a wall between Serenity and Don’s bedroom and the living room which before was wide open to give them more privacy. The next remodel will probably be centered around adding a bathroom to the basement so that not everyone is doing the “I GOTTA GO” dance and yelling at me.

4/4/15 Get to Work Expansion pack (And 100th post!)

Hey! My wonderful father got me the "Get to Work" expansion pack for Sims 4 on the release date this last Tuesday. Due to my crazy school, work, church and studying schedule I have only played about two sim days of this expansion so far. That being said it is amazing!

I started a new family which began with Serenity Lanier. She met the infamous Don Lathario  who is always a playboy involved with the Caliente girls. Their relationship progressed quickly and by some miracle the two got married.

Don does not do much except work out and go to his career as an athlete.

Serenity is my sim who is in one of the playable careers. Right now she is an Orderly which is level two in the doctor career. She is very passionate about it. I am hoping she can get to level 3 soon. Since my video recording system is not working I have not been able to take any videos lately that make it to being saved on my computer. All I have are a few photos. This leads me to a fantastic addition to sims 4! Like sims 3 sims can now take photos and put them on their walls! I think that is so exciting.

Willow Creek - A Sims 4 Soap Opera

Hey fellow simmers!

* This is a  long post, but eventful and worth reading *

It has been a LONG time since I have last blogged! For the last batch of posts  was only videos posted  via my youtube channel. Since youtube uploading, and my video recorder have not been behaving I have resorted back to something that  always works, my blog.

What I planned on starting was my own soap opera, called Willow Creek after the sims 4 town where the family my soap opera focuses on lives. I suppose I can still update it, because I have a plan to work on building up the families of the whole town and not just one or two families. That is my hope anyway! It really is a soap opera, and I mean it gets crazy. I am not responsible for all the things these sims do, only some of it!

A lot has happened the past two days in Willow Creek. So much so I am not even sure the best way to break down what has happened. ( I do not even want to know how long these posts are going to be once the working expansion pack is released and all the craziness that will accompany it).

~ Also, on a side note, I cannot get over how expensive the bills are in this game. For the house that I moved my family into (which consists of at least 3 working adults), it is a weekly payment of $7,225 simolians. OUCH! They only make half of that. Inflation is tough in these games.... ~

The Beginning

At the start of this game I made two families who are really rich, the Lovett's and the Kincaid's. I began with wanting them to have a feud, but only one of Lovett's hated all the Kincaid's, all the rest were impartial to each other, or even began to like each other. That plan went down the gutter real fast, but at least the feud existed for one of them.

The Kincaid family I have not played, so I do not remember much about them except that the mom of the family is Hope, and they have  a son named Colin. He ends up being good friends with Kyla, the daughter of the Hunter and Brielle Lovett.

The original Lovett household consisted of Hunter, who had a wife Brielle and a daughter Kyla. Living with them was his brother Harry.

So one thing lead to another and Brielle flirted with Harry in front of her husband, which obviously made Hunter extremely angry. Within one day of moving in Brielle and Hunter were divorced. Able to seduce Harry, Brielle ended up pregnant. She was extremely jealous when Harry began to date one of the Kincaid relative's, Hope's sister Lorena (pictured below). She was so jealous and upset that she cried herself to sleep, and even cried in her sleep. I am not joking I have video taken of it, and if I could upload it I would.

Despite Brielle's jealousy Harry and Lorena eloped and got married. Brielle extremely upset by the whole thing even though they never really dated, moved out of the house.

New Beginnings

Hunter ended up befriending a really nice girl who is also named Lorena, Lorena Keeling. Yes, it is confusing that both brothers have romantic involvements with Lorena's. The blonde Lorena is Hunter's and the red Lorena (pictured above) is Harry's.  Hunter ends up engaged quite quickly to his Lorena (the blonde one).

Hunter and his wife Lorena (the blonde one) got married, and were quickly expecting their first child as well. Lorena is an excellent step-mom to Kyla, as she helps her with her homework and actually takes time to talk to her and care for her. Before that Kyla was ignored by her real mom Brielle, and her father worked a lot so she barely got time with him. Lorena also befriended the other Lorena, even though the rest of the household (including her husband) ignored her. Overall blonde Lorena is my favorite sim in this soap opera so far. Her and Hunter end up having a baby boy together.

Harry "The Play-Boy" Lovett

Sadly, Harry gets his own section because the rest of the events mostly focus around him and his playboy attitude. Even though he is married, he ends up getting a girlfriend named Kaley Bliss (see below), who just moved to town. Kaley somehow moved into the home, and convinced Harry to divorce Lorena (red hair one). Following their divorce Lorena gave birth to Harry's first child, a daughter named Saire. 

Harry then eloped with Kaley, who was much happier since she was deeply upset over the fact she was not pregnant. So much so, that she goes up and is the first one to hold Saire. By that night however she will have no more reason to be upset as she does in fact end up pregnant.

 Of course Harry is not completely loyal to Kaley either, as he could not help himself one day when a maid comes to clean the house he charms her into bed, and also gets her pregnant (she has yet to have the kids but I see her walking around town pregnant).

Kaley did end up catching Harry flirting with this maid, but did not do anything about it despite stomping around angrily all day. She did spend a lot of the day running around and yelling at poor unsuspecting people. By the end of the day she had forgiven him enough to sleep in the same bed with him, and even wanted to hug him. Harry dodged a bullet that day.

Meanwhile Kyla aged up for her birthday, and her very pregnant mother stopped by. Unlike red-haired Lorena, Brielle was still on fairly good terms with Harry, so she even hugged him when she stopped by.

Eventually, Kaley caught Harry flirting with another woman named Pearl Colgate who just moved to town with her really old grumpy husband. Harry and her are boyfriend and girlfriend, although for a time they were "just friends". Kaley finally divorced Harry a day after their son was born, but at least she finally dumped him!  Harry, frustrated with his living situation, moved out into his own home.

Harry is now engaged again to a Faith, who he did not even kiss until they are dating (yes he is still the boyfriend of the maid, and Pearl but who is counting x cough x me x cough x.). This at first glance seems to be the one he could settle down with, but she really just wants a rich house. Since Harry no longer lives in a rich house, Faith went and found a rich bachelor and is now pregnant with his child. I suppose it is time Harry gets  a bit of his own medicine right?
